HISTORIC TOWNS

These quaint towns have restored and maintained their unique historic origins.

Queenscliff has evocative 19th Century architecture and the only black lighthouse in the Southern Hemisphere. It started as a fishing village, but in the late 1800s became the fashionable holiday mecca for Melbourne's elite.

Port Fairy, with strong Irish connections, is a picturesque village on both the River Moyne and the Southern Ocean, with many of its original buildings intact.

The spa town of Daylesford has superb accommodation and dining options and the feel of Switzerland from where many of the settlers to the area came.
