Highlights of the Touring Route
The best of Australia is showcased on the Great Southern Touring Route.
Better still it promises unique experiences for travellers wanting to discover
"the real Australia". National icons abound and popular attractions are plentiful.
Dunkeld is a cosy rural village of about 450 people right at the foot of the Grampians.
The landscape is dominated by the soaring Mt Abrupt, all 827 metres of it, and
Mt Sturgeon.
Picturesque Halls Gap, the main tourist town in the Grampians, is set in the Fyans
Valley at the foot of the Wonderland and Mount William ranges. It is a great base for
exploring the majesty of the Grampians.
