Description: Hamilton Gallery features remarkable special exhibitions based around its own collection. Recent exhibitions have included John Wolseley: Mallee, Maquis, Desert, Rainforest; Rick Amor: Painting Silence; Ah Xian: Axiom and Celia Rosser: The Banksias | Three Volumes. Hamilton Gallery’s renowned collection features a decorative arts focus of both Australian and International objects from the 17th century through to the present. Asian art and Australian paintings and prints are strongly represented but the Gallery is perhaps best known for its rare collection of gouache and watercolour landscapes by Paul Sandby (1731-1809).

Type of operation: Art Gallery.

Location: 1 hour from Warrnambool, 15 minutes from Dunkeld, walking distance to Hamilton Botanic Gardens.

Opening times: Mon-Fri 10am-5pm. Saturday 10am-noon and 2pm-5pm. Sunday 2pm-5pm. Closed Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
