Grampians Road Re-Opened!

GSTR is pleased to advise that the last of the major roads in the Grampians National Park that has been closed for repairs since the January flood event, was re-opened on Friday 18  November 2011.

Mt Victory Road – also known as Northern Grampians Road –was severely impacted in several locations by flood water and landslides. This re-opening follows VicRoads’ re-opening of the Halls Gap-Dunkeld Road in August.

Mt Victory Road is a major link through the Grampians National Park and takes visitors from Halls Gap to attractions such as Boroka and Reids (The Balconies) Lookouts,  Mackenzie Falls and the Wartook Valley. It is also a scenic route to Horsham.

It will be a unique experience for visitors to drive along Mt Victory Road and see the landslide sites.
